MEMORANDUM TO CONCERNED CONSERVATIVE CITIZEN-RIGHTS LEADERS
The Board of Trustees of The Justice Foundation has authorized the attorneys of The Justice Foundation to begin the process of seeking a group of at least 10,000 individual Citizen Plaintiffs to assert their constitutional rights as individuals to oppose the recently enacted federal Health Care legislation on the grounds that it:
Grassroots America – We the People Executive Director JoAnn Fleming announces the GAWTP Board’s endorsement in the contested May 8 Tyler City Council racefor District 6 ... Jason Wright.
Fleming: “The GAWTP Board sets a very high standard for granting endorsements. The Board carefully considers evidence of good character and judgment, qualifications, temperament, background, and record of past actions regarding local public policy. A three-fourths majority vote (7 of 9 board members) in support of a candidate is required for endorsement.”
Fleming declared, “Endorsement of a candidate is a serious matter. It is not merely a matter of endorsing someone because of community service, a winning personality, or a desire to give back to the community. The proper management of multi-million dollar taxpayer-funded budgets is serious business and local elections must be taken seriously because of the direct impact on families and small business. Ruth Obar and Jackie Malone, two longtime health care practitioners in Tyler, are concerned about how the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act may affect their field.Both stopped by the Grassroots America -- We the People booth at The Oil Palace on Saturday, where information for a "mass-action" lawsuit against the federal health care bill was being passed out. The two ladies are interested and said they probably will sign up, though Mrs. Obar jokingly said that she may have to work an extra shift to cover the $100 it would cost to join the fight. GAWTP asking for your donations to fight ObamaCare
GAWTP Executive Director, JoAnn Fleming says, "We are going to fight this in the courts to make sure individual liberty is preserved in this country." "We believe if the federal government can tell you as an individual and tell a business this is what you will buy, and this is what you will do they will not stop at health insurance," said Fleming. GAWTP hopes to sign up 10,000 residents as plantiffs in the suit.
